Druid Summit - San Francisco
Druid Summit – San Francisco
September 14, 2022
Today, digital organizations need real-time insights delivered through internal and external applications. This requires developers like you to build apps that bring together streaming data and interactive analytics to push real-time visibility to the next level. But with 100’s of databases out there how do you know what the right architecture is.
Do you find yourself asking – how can I ingest millions of events per second? How can I analyze billions of rows interactively in seconds? How can I scale to thousands of end-users concurrently without a steep expense?
Apache Druid provides the flexibility, efficiency, and resilience needed to support your analytics applications at scale, for streaming and batch data.
During this event you will:
- Learn what makes a modern analytics application
- See how organizations use analytics apps to prevent loss, improve customer experience, and even drive new revenue
- Get practical actions you can take, no matter your company size or budget

|11:10am-12:30pm||Where Druid is Going
At its inception in 2011, Druid was already able to ingest a billion events in under a minute and query a billion events in under a second. Since then, Apache Druid has continued to evolve into a leading database powering modern analytics applications. But that’s not even close to the end of the story! Join Gian Merlino, Druid committer and CTO of Imply to understand the future of Druid, both making it easier and faster for developers to succeed with Druid while expanding the universe of use cases where Druid can apply.

|1:30pm-2:00pm||The Future of Modern Analytics Applications
We are in an era where off-the-shelf BI products can’t provide everything you need. Enter the developer–the next analytics hero–who will build the analytics applications their organizations need, using Apache Druid as their database foundation. In this session, we will discuss what it takes to build modern analytics applications.
